A Little PR

Catholic writers have a tough time bragging about their work. Self-congratulation  just isn't part of our faith. As authors, though, if we want to share the word of God through our writing, we have to step up and speak up. Here are some ways I'm promoting my books and other Catholics authors' books.

AMAZON A+ PAGE

Love it or loathe it, Amazon is a powerhouse in the market. The site allows authors to create what is called an A+ page. I used mine to help draw attention to the Catholic historical romance genre. The image you see here appears underneath the book detail information on each of my books' Amazon pages.

SHEPHERD.COM 'BEST' PAGE

Shepherd.com is a book search site that makes the search part of the fun. Readers can find books the usual ways but also can browse "best" lists suggested by authors. My "best" list is Best Historical Romance Novels by Members of the Catholic Writers Guild. I'm happy to share a spotlight with fellow Catholic authors and Guild members.

STOCK THE SHELVES

This campaign by Catholic and Orthodox authors and publishers has two goals. First, it helps readers easily find books by Catholic and Orthodox authors. Second, it helps readers learn how to request that libraries stock books they want to read. It's a win-win!
